The book went on to become a ForeWord Book of the Year finalist as well as runner-up for Writer's Digest's Best Inspirational Book. When I collected my weird tales for teens into three books (Odd Lot, Even Odder, and Oddest Yet), Dotti took my niece's pen-and-ink drawings and transformed them into eye-popping covers.
